HTTP vs HTTPS TEST

The purpose of this test is to find the very best way to optimize a site that is fully https, especially if that site already existed in the http version first.  We have a client with multiple websites and they want these websites completely secured.  The possible issue is that these websites already exist in http rather than https.  In researching I have found conflicting information and instruction on the proper procedures required for ensuring as little issue as possible when making this switch on an already live website.

I will be publishing this website in http in effort to rank for lapasevento, a nonsensical term that no other website would, or should rank for.  In searching lapasevento in Google I simply receive the 'did you mean...' message and this makes perfect sense considering that lapasevento is completely meaningless in any language.  Megabosky.
